Eastgate Oriental City aims to be a heart for the oriental community in Bristol. Built on a 2 acre site in Eastville, Bristol, the complex offers a Chinese supermarket, a 400-seat Chinese restaurant, an indoor oriental high street. The adjoining Eastgate Market has also been reinvigorated, with new stalls and awnings.
The complex is the brainchild of brothers-in-law Allan Tan and Raymond Chow, who envisaged a place where the oriental community of Bristol and the surrounding areas could come together. After years of planning, what started out as a dream became a reality.
The striking red and jade building was designed by Barlow & Henley Architects, the build managed by The Bailey Partnership and the work carried out by Midas Construction.
